Welcome to WickenbyVisit by airVisit by carAttractionsEvents

Wickenby Aerodrome is a great place to visit for an enjoyable day trip or just to pop in for a cup of tea or coffee. The WW2 museum in the original control tower is free entry and contains lots of relics and photographs of Wickenby's war time involvement. Home to 12 and 626 sqn, RAF Wickenby saw Lancasters flying from here on nightly raids over Germany. Wickenby memorial, by the gate as you enter, stands as a permanent reminder of the lives given during the great War. Many original features are still present on the old airfield, which are best viewed from the air so why not book a gift flight?

There are many privately owned aircraft on the airfield including vintage aircraft such as Tiger Moths, Isaac's Fury, Yak 18, Chipmunks, and many more. The aerodrome is also home to varied modern aircraft types from the microlights and light aircraft, to larger twin engined Islander, Cessna 404 and Aero Commanders.

Why not pop in today to have a look for yourself and meet some of the locals. Remember, flying activity is subject to suitable weather! View visitor comments.
